Novelune Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Lakewell LLC, a Kentucky limited liability company trading as Lakewell Studio, covering your use of the Novelune app and the content shown in it. By installing or using Novelune you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What Novelune gives you

Novelune is a free app for watching short vertical drama series. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, and to stream the content offered in it for your own private, non-commercial viewing.

That licence does not let you copy, record, download, re-upload, broadcast, publicly perform, resell, or redistribute any episode or part of one; extract video, audio, artwork, or text from the app by any means; or reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app, except where local law expressly permits it despite this restriction.

2. Ownership

The app, its interface, its code, and the series presented in it are owned by Lakewell LLC or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Using Novelune does not transfer any ownership to you. The Lakewell Studio and Novelune names and marks belong to us and may not be used without written permission.

3. Content, and AI-generated material

Every series in Novelune is fiction and is offered as entertainment. Some of it is produced using generative AI tools, in whole or in part; those titles are labelled with an AI marker inside the app. AI-generated material does not portray real, identifiable individuals expressing real views or performing real acts, and must not be understood as news, reportage, or a factual account of anything.

The catalogue is curated by us and can change at any time. Series may be added, edited, re-ordered, or withdrawn without notice, including for rights, legal, quality, or policy reasons. We do not promise that any particular title will remain available.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Novelune to break any law; to interfere with, overload, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the app, our servers, or our content delivery infrastructure; to circumvent any technical limitation or protection; to use automated tools to scrape or bulk-fetch content; or to let anyone else do these things through your device. We may block access from any source that does.

5. Reporting content

Every episode has a Report action in the player menu, which opens an email to report@lakewellstudio.com identifying the episode. Use it if you believe content is unlawful, harmful, infringes your rights, or breaches Google Play policy. We review every report, aim to respond within five business days, and remove content that should not be there. Rights holders who believe material infringes their copyright should write to the same address with a description of the work, the episode concerned, their contact details, and a statement of good-faith belief; we act on valid notices promptly.

6. Age

Novelune is intended for adults and older teenagers, consistent with its Google Play content rating. It is not for children under 13. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, use the app only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.

7. Price and changes to the service

Novelune is currently free to use and contains no advertising and no in-app purchases. If that ever changes, the change will be described in the app and on this page before it takes effect, and nothing will be charged to you without a clear, separate step in which you choose to pay. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or any part of it at any time.

8. No warranty

Novelune is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that playback will work on every device or network. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions; in those places, this section applies to the fullest extent permitted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lakewell LLC and its members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or connected with your use of, or inability to use, Novelune — even if we have been advised that such damages are possible. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for it (which is zero) or ten US dollars.

10. Ending the agreement

You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling Novelune. We may suspend or end your licence if you breach these terms. Sections covering ownership, warranty, liability, and governing law survive the end of the agreement.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the state and federal courts located in Kentucky have jurisdiction over disputes — except where the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, which we do not seek to take away.

12. Store terms

Novelune is distributed through Google Play, and your use of the app is also subject to Google Play's terms. Google is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the app or its content.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app develops. The current version always lives at this address with the effective date shown at the top. Continuing to use Novelune after an update means you accept the revised terms.
